Wiston Estate Cuvée 2016

The Wiston Estate Cuvée 2016 is a vintage English sparkling wine that blends Pinot Noir (55%), Chardonnay (33%) and Pinot Meunier (12%) grapes. The six hectare Findon Park Vineyard was Wiston Estate's first planting in 2006 with a variety of different Champagne and Burgundy clones, situated in a secluded spot in the South Downs. Here, the valley benefits from excellent airflow which helps stave off disease and, as its only 4km north of the South Coast of England, it is rarely endangered with spring frosts. At the winery, each of the varieties were pressed in a traditional Coquard basket press and fermented separately in old barrels sourced from Burgundy and Bordeaux. The wines are then rested on lees until the following summer, then blended and bottled for a cool, long second fermentation. The wine was then aged for 5 years on lees, before disgorging and final ageing on cork. The 2016 Cuvée has impressive depth and complexity, with that signature precision and elegance in spades. It has aromas of baked apple tart, with notes of baked pears too and a creamy pastry base. A touched of spiced honey is balanced by brisk acidity and a touch of salinity making the finish long and balanced.

Delivery Times

We aim to to have your delivery with you within 5-7 working days of receiving your order, but often it can be much sooner. If you need your order by a certain date please get in touch and we'll do our best to get it to you as required.

Vintage Availability

We endeavour to display accurate and current vintages on all our wines listed on the website; however, from time to time stocks of the vintage listed do become exhausted. If this is the case with your order we will always contact you to recommend another vintage of the same wine, if it is still available. If the vintage of a wine is important to you then please leave a note at checkout advising us of this.

Stock Availability

As we are retail stockists, selling from our Ledston shop as well as online, it makes it difficult for us to show a 'real-time' inventory of our wines and spirits online. As such, very occasionally, a wine may be out of stock that the website has allowed you to order.

To ensure a timely delivery, we are happy to substitute your order with a similar wine of equal or higher value and at no additional cost to you!

If this is not an acceptable solution please advise us in the 'Add A Comment' section at the checkout.
